Is there a way to split it into two sounds of the same category? Specifically, synth. I'm trying to get a pad to comp with and a lead to solo overtop of that with.

I can figure out how to get a split with the piano and say the Synth engine - no problem.

However, I don't know how to get even a 2 x way simple split with the piano engine - so Fazioli piano on one side and E-Piano on the other? When I try it I get no sound at all on the second half of the split.

Do you have to use Slot A and Slot B simultaneously?
The Nord is not as straight forward as other keyboards I have used in some regards. Yes, some things are great for on the fly playing but this has me stumped.
Any help would be gratefully received.

You need to activate BOTH slots! Press slot "A", hold it and shortly after that "B". Both LED should be on now. The blinking one is the currently selected slot. Now press "A" (=select slot A), create a 2 way split, put Fazioli to the left of the split. Then press "B", put E-Piano to the right side of the split. Done! ;)

So, I'm trying to do this with A:11:3 (10 cc pad) and A:11:2 (pluck persuader). I can set one to one zone and switch to slot B, but when I hit the button for the other sound, it erases the kb zones I've set.

I think you’re just switching between slots. You need to have BOTH slots active. (Both slot LEDs are on, the one you’re currently controlling from the panel is flashing.)

Press both slot buttons at the same time to switch them both on.

You can NOT mix (merge/layer/split...) two different PROGRAMS! A Program is basically a snapshot of your whole Nord Stage setup. If you select a different Program, all your settings change to reflect the saved changes of this Program.

The maximum numbers of (internal!) sound engines that can be used simultaneously within a Program is 6: 2 organs, 2 pianos, 2 synth. sounds/samples.
