Hi i am new to Nord keyboards and am lucky enough to have a stage 2
I was wondering if anyone could help me with setting up my stage 2 to ableton suite 8
I have made the stage 2 to be a controller of the sounds on ableton but i cant get the stage 2 to play its sounds into ableton????
i am running Mac os (imac) and have them linked by usb at the moment
Any help would be much appreciated

I am using my Stage also with Ableton but if I understand your question correctly, you need at least an audio interface (even if the built in on your computer) to get the sounds of your NS2 into Ableton. The USB connection only transfers the MIDI signals so that you can (1) play the internal instruments in Ableton or any VSTi and (2) record MIDI sequences that are played back on the NS2 and will sound thru the PA connected to the Outputs of your NS2 when you hit play in Ableton.
In order to record the actual Audio signal from the Nord STage, you need to connect the Output of the Stage to your Soundcard or Audio Interface and record it as audio into Ableton. It works without problem even with the Audio Input of your iMac, you just need a 6.3 to 3.5mm converter to input the Output signal into your computer.

Do you have an interface to connect the Stage to? USB or FireWire interfaces will work.
Afaik Nords don't transmit audio via USB, so you'll have to use the line outs.
