Speakers

Postby Paolo86 » 19 Dec 2018, 22:59

Hello all,
I am new here on this forum and I am also new in the world of Nord ...
Previously I had a Yamaha CP300 stage piano only that beautiful red color continued to inspire me.
I would like to know what speakers you recommend for home use in the living room.
There must be good sound coming out but in my opinion it does not have to be studio monitors, or is that the only option?
My English is not optimal yet so do some google translate

Hi Paolo86. I can really, really recommend the IK multimedia iLoud Micro monitors. The are quite small so they fits nicely on top of the NordStage itself. They sound absolutely fantastic, are very accurate, have good output volume, and doubles up as small studio monitors (which is what they really are). I received my NS3 in the midts of november and have already used the NS3 on four concerts/gigs during December (two more to go before new year), and I use the iLoud Micro as stereo monitoring for myself when playing on concerts. I've shared a file with you with the NS3 setup in my studio (which is the same I use live). Just buy them! - Simon

done now. :thanks:
the problem is as written in that topic.
Everyone has a different preference and situation.
That is why I ask the question to see what others use in the same situation.

I like that set up. I would just be a bit afraid that the speakers fall on the ground by accident (kids here). Any hint so secure them on the Nord without damaging it (no tape or things that could damage the keyboard surface)?

It may sound a bit odd, but I've found that my home stereo with a sub works great for home use. Still use my QSC k10 for the stage, but for the home a stereo/sub set up is plenty of power for me and gives a sound that has no sharp edges.

You wouldn't be the first one to tape a velcro strip onto the board to fix something. It's for your kids' safety, too.
Or you expand your keyboard stand with a top shelf.

Unfortunately the keyboard is in a very tiny room against the wall. I thought about extending my stand (plenty of possibility with the KM 19853) but I don’t have enough space behind the stand.
The Velcro could do the trick but I’m just afraid of damaging the board if one day I need to remove them.

Hello

Here's a solution against a wall:
Two small wooden boards fixed on the wall with IK ILoud micro monitors (in white).
