If you assign a specific MIDI Channel to Panel B you don't need to use the Slot Focus, just send the required MIDI CCs (Sections Enable and/or Volume) to that channeljfenton wrote:Yes, maybe that will work thanks. What I would do is:RichardG wrote:Can't you just set the volume to zero of that specific part using MIDI ?
That sort of amounts to the same.
Focus on Slot 2
Set Set Volume to 0 on all instruments (or disable them)
Focus back on Slot 1 to play only slot 1 sounds
When I want to turn back on:
Focus to Slot 2
Enable each instrument
I'll give it a try.

Re: Slot Enable NS2-EX
Well this works but you have to send a lot of different MIDI CC's so it is probably just best to create a new patch (400 patches available) with what you want and be done with it from there. Then all you need is a single PC change to go between the sounds.jfenton wrote:Yes, maybe that will work thanks. Re: Slot Enable NS2-EX
Hi,
When using Bandhelper, I can create 1 midi preset for the song itself for handling the PC's for example.
And then attach multiple midi presets (with different CC's) to that main/master preset. They will fire (you can configure this) directly after the main preset.
But whatever suits you. If you have enough room to make extra programs, that would do the trick too

Re: Slot Enable NS2-EX
But this will cut the sound, since NS2 doesn't support seamless transition; maybe not an issue for you, anyway did you read my comment above and have you tried with just controlling the Panel B Volume (just one MIDI CC) or the Section(s) On/Off (one MIDI CC per section in use)?jfenton wrote: Well this works but you have to send a lot of different MIDI CC's so it is probably just best to create a new patch (400 patches available) with what you want and be done with it from there. I think you can set it up so that you can send MIDI commands at the press of a button (and these can be anything, so not only program changes).
Then you have the option to setup your screen in a way this makes it easier to control that.
The following statement is not true. The previous statement is true.

Re: Slot Enable NS2-EX
I don't mind the sound cutting. I can take my hands off the keys during the brief transition between patches. If it become a problem, I would use Bome MIDI Translator project running on BomeBox to sequence the various MIDI events required. I prefer to use enable/disable instead of volume so that I don't have to track the initial volume when I restore it back to on again.
