That looks like what I have setup, but it's still not working. Thank you for confirming it for me. Much appreciated.

Just for curiosity - isn’t MSB and LSB different for the various Fantom generations/products and which Fantom do you use? Maybe one of the two MSB or LSB is wrong?

+1, maybe @gboser specifying the exact Fantom model would help

Ok - are you looking at switching scenes, zones or changing tones via midi?

For Fantom 6 when changing scenes you need MSB 85 an LSB either 0, 1 or 2 depending on which scene section (Axxx, Bxxx or Cxxx) you want to change. For tones you need MSB 87 and LSB 92 or 93 for PR-A tones and LSB 69 to 91 for the others, so that should work in general.

Check the general midi settings - for controlling a scene via midi you have to make sure that both Receive Program Change and Receive Bank Select are set to ON, and the extern midi channel of the Nord matches the setting of the scene control channel in the Fantom’s midi settings. If these are the same you should at least be able to switch scenes without MSB 85, LSB 0, 1 or 2 and program change number (PC) of the scene you want to switch to.

I’m not sure about selecting zones and changing tones since I don’t own the new Fantom but I remember from previous Fantom generations I had some time ago that it was a bit difficult to change second or third layer elements of the sound structure. I would guess that you should be able to change a tone of an active zone in an active scene with the above mentioned MSB and LSB values for tones plus the PC value for the tone you want to select - maybe a bit of try and error game

Thank you for the help. After a couple of days messing with it, it did work briefly, but mostly doesn't. Most likely an issue with my machine, so I'm sending it back.

Which machine do you suspect to be responsible for this, the Nord or the Fantom?

Definitely the Fantom. The issue started with trying to get it to send PC to MainStage. Set everything up as it needed to be but it just didn't work. Then I decided to install Catalina on a different machine and try their Catalina driver. With that setup, the same settings in the Fantom worked. But the problem with that is Roland doesn't have a Catalina version of the MainStage software, so the DAW integration won't work.

Bringing the Nord into the mix was part of the overall troubleshooting process. And for a brief time it did work, but after it sits for awhile it stops. Going to do a fresh restore and give it all a go one more time today. And if that doesn't work, I'm going to send it back.

Thanks again for everyone's help.

Hi, if I activate Extern (all leds on) the program change works, but also the keys are transmitted.
If I switch off Extern nothing is transmitted, so neither the PC.
I need only the PC to be send from the nord to my external keyboard.
