I want to use my ev-5 control pedal with my Nord stage 2. So far i have plugged in the pedal, choosen roland as control pedal type in the system menu and when i press and lift the pedal i can see the percentage going from 0 % to 100%.
However, when I try to enable the morph assign for my control pedal, i get no reaction from the pedal. I'm holding the "ctrlped" morph assign button, while changing the level of f.x. the volume of the synth modul. It should work now as far as I understand but nothing happens when i press down the pedal. When i do this with the aftertouch or the wheel it works perfectly fine.
What am I missing? do i need to activate th pedal in the system somewhere besides choosing the control pedal type in the system menu?

Re: roland ev-5 control pedal doesn't work on my nord stage
Hej Morten,
I don't have a NS2, but on the NS3 at least, you can plug in a pedal as either control pedal or as organ swell -- I'm saying this just to make sure it is connected to the control pedal input and not the swell. Also, you can set up the pedal to be either control, or control plus swell or volume. It should in all cases work as a control pedal, but it might be worth checking the settings anyway.

Thanks for quick reply.
It is plugged in the ctrl pedal input, and in the system menu I can see the the percentage parameter react upon the pedal. The problem is to make the morph assign to react on the pedal as well.

Hi, I use the EV5 without issues - it sounds like you're doing everything right. Just to be sure, could you send a short video? I would do exactly what you describe:
- ctrlped morph light off
- Set piano volume to zero
- press and hold ctrlped button
- move piano volume from zero to full (both led indicators stay on, the zero value and the full value)
- release ctrlped button (light should stay on)
As you say, it's the same as assigning wheel or aftertouch.
Mike.
