Hey
I bought NS3 C when it first came out and sold it short after , I had the NP 2 and had hoped that I could trigger some of the piano sounds on the NS3 C , but it sounded horible , there where problems with the organ sound as wel , I have had al the previous Nordstage models since the first came out , and it’s the only board that’s newer bored me or my ears . I am have heard that all these issues is fixed now ? But before I go further I would like to hear some experiences from other users about 88 weighted keys under the compact , I will probably buy the new komplete Kontrol S 88 MK 2 for Logic Pro and then hopefully be able to trigger NS 3 C . Re: Recommendation on 88 key midi keyboard for NS3 Compact
I'm digging my Studiologic SL88 Studio keyboard to control a Stage 2 compact (and Scarbee Rhodes on an iPad for home practice).
It's lightweight, inexpensive, and feels much like my (former) Stage 2 88 keybed. I've found a Gator gig bag that fits like a glove. Very satisfied with piano response on the Stage compact, controlled by the SL88 Studio. https://studiologic-music.com/products/sl-studio/

Re: Recommendation on 88 key midi keyboard for NS3 Compact
I use an Arturia Keylab 88, which is great and not too expensive, though I can't yet use it with the NS3 in DualKB mode because Nord OS1.52 has a serious bug causing uncontrollable sustained notes. But it works ok if you assign it to Panel A or B under Nord OS 1.46. The Arturia Keylab isn't too heavy despite having hammer action and it has numerous controllers if you wish to use it with other synths.

Re: Recommendation on 88 key midi keyboard for NS3 Compact
Well, I'm using my NP2 to trigger AP centric sounds on my NS3 Compact. I really like the setup, the feel, sound flexibility, etc. I ended up using Panel B for APs as I'm now layering sounds. It's sweet. Organ, synths, etc get played on the NS3C key bed. I'm curious, what don't you like?
