Hi folks,
Though being a big Nord fan, I'm really disappointed about the quality of the Clavia Ns2 softcase. Having it since 2 years now and using it about 2 times per week it is really damaged already. The cloth is ripped up At the rolls side so that the cardboard is visible already. I'm really treating my stuff with care, but this product is not matching to the quality of the keyboard itself. Sorry for this complaint. Do you have similar experiences?
Greets,
Eumel

Re: Poor quality of NS2 soft case
Same here unfortunately. Cardboard visible inbetween the wheels. Probably it's from rolling the case over uneven floors, tiles and thresholds.
Maybe this soft case is not quite suitable for the heavy HA88 model.
I thought of buying a hard case, but I need to carry my NS2 two stairs down and up again every rehearsal and gig.

Re: Poor quality of NS2 soft case
Hi,
I have the Nord C2 Softcase that I bought with the C2 for 50$ (Second hand C2 and softcase) but I haven't had any issue yet...But I use it 10 times a year, so,...But thanks for the info, I was thinking to buy it for my stage 2 because the one that I have as no Wheels but I might think differently now, thanks for the info. By the way, both of you said "Cardboard", do you mean that the softcase are made with Cardboard? If yes, I would have never thought that it was the case...
Sincerely

Same here... I'm living in an appartment so I have to get up and down the stairs. Flightcase adds at least another 5kg to the device.

Re: Poor quality of NS2 soft case
I've got it myself (88 keys) and it's junk. The zippers weren't sewn properly, in some places it ripped off and I had to do some needlework to hold it together.
Also, it's not nearly as convenient as a plain old flight case with (light) soft foam, two grips on the narrow side and a shoulder belt.
The same goes for the dust covers. I've got two (88 + 61), both aren't sewn properly and start to disintegrate.

And I was worried - all the way down to the ground

I was just going to ask whether this had happened to anyone. I've only had mine (61) for a few weeks, taken it off and put it back on maybe twice a week, and it's already starting to tear at one corner. Once it dies, I'll probably just place a blanket over my Nord.

Re: Poor quality of NS2 soft case
Been using the 73-key soft backpacks for 14 years, and am on my second one. Other than some wear on the pouch (where I keep an F.C.-7, FC-5, power and stereo cables), no issues at all.

Re: Poor quality of NS2 soft case
Can not confirm your experience: I have a NS1 76key with the soft case and carry that once a week to the rehearsal room. No problems with zippers or worn our cloth.
As my soft case is now about 9 years old it seems like Nord did some change in between - maybe they switched to another manufacturer which delivers lower quality?

Re: Poor quality of NS2 soft case
Two NP2 88 cases, no problem. Two NE4D cases, no problem. NS2 76 case, no problem. NS3C case, no problem. I gig 2x-3x a month over several years, plus continually hauling stuff to rehearsals.
OK, a small problem on my oldest NP2 case: the rubber grip on the middle handle (the one you use all the time) started to cut through. So I wrapped it with duct tape.
I don't consider the Nord cases significantly better or worse than other alternatives.

I think I have gear issues ....
