NE2 73 soft case for 15 years and NE4 SW73 soft case (now used for NS3C) for over 4 years.
Both @ 2 to 3 gigs per month average + rehearsals. Showing their age visually (discolouration) but still in perfect working order.

To those who have no problem: Do you carry your pianos or are you rolling them with their wheels?

I roll on even surfaces and carry when necessary. I am mindful not to bang it around or roll over rough surfaces and haven't had issues with my limited transport. But hey, I spent $540 on a Moog Model D hardcase and dented an edge/corner of the aluminum who knows how on my first careful trip. So I expect wear and tear on cases. I just don't want it to translate to wear on the instrument and I'm satisfied with the purpose of the case.

The problem with the softcase is a simple design error: When pulling the bag using the wheels, the distance from the case‘s bottom rim to the ground is way too small. Using alittle bigger wheels or increasing the distance from the wheels to the case would definitely solve the problem. Shouldn‘t be a hard thing to do...

I also had problems with my NS2 HA88 case. Moving it once per week (stairs, rolling and sliding it in/out of the car) after a couple of years the fabric started to tear open in several places, especially the corners which bear the majority of the strain and the upper pocket which has a thinner material.
Plus, is was REALLY big and heavy for a soft case. I have to do 3 flights of stairs just to get out of the house, and the weight was really bothering me.
All in all, I couldn't justify the combination of price, size, weight and less-than-great quality.
I substituted it with a lighter bag with a strong shoulder strap, and I'm a happy camper.

@Spider: I am using the original NS88 soft bag and agree with the weight issue as well as with a somewhat poor quality, especially the zipper does not fit properly.
Which lighter bag are you using and how is the quality compared to the original bag from Nord?

I found this bag which costs less than half of the Nord bag, fits the Stage2 like a glove and has a huge pocket which can easily contain all the accessories.
On top of the comfort of being able to carry the Stage on my shoulder, I saved about 5-6 kilos compared to the Nord bag.

It's very lightly padded, don't expect anything like the Nord bag. But for carrying the Stage from my flat down the stairs and into the car is more than good enough. Only thing, the buckles of the shoulder strap looked a bit light-duty, so I substituted them with some stronger ones I bought at the local hardware store.

Had the NS3 88 and soft bag for just over a year. Regular gigs and lots of rehearsals with no issues whatsoever with the soft case. There's no argument that a full flightcase has much better protection and durability, but aged 58, the Stage3 88 in a full flightcase is just too much weight for me to lug around. It's plenty heavy enough in the bag!
