Today this Nord Stage3 Compact had a different error message than I've seen before."Piano failure" and had no White grand on startup!When I restarted it went through a procedure I hadn't seen before either.After loading 'instrument check' it showed OS 2.60 instead of 2.62? The White Grand started working again.Still haven't reloaded 2.62 as this unit seems fine now.
At least it wasn't the dreaded "pitchstick failure" on display,though it opened my eyes wide.

I would guess, that re-downloading the problematic Piano sample would be more relevant than the OS update. Although neither procedure seems necessary now.

Though working again, you do want to get to a state where OS 2.62 can be loaded. You could try downloading the OS from the Nord site and updating again, but it might be worth deleting the White Grand and then starting fresh with new files for both the White Grand and OS 2.62 from the Nord site as it's odd that the piano was not used.
