Hi,
Does new NS4 model come with pedals or do you need tp buy them separately?

Re: Pedals included?
Unfortunately not. You need to buy them separately. With the NS4 Nord became very profit oriented and they care less about customer satisfaction...
Just like Apple when started not to include the chargers with the iPhones. They claim it is because of environmental reasons but everyone knows it is just only for maximizing profit

Re: Pedals included?
There are plenty of options for the sustain pedal: Some prefer a triple, grand piano like pedal unit (with attributable functions in the case of a Nord Triple Pedal 2), others would rather go for a single sustain pedal. For both types, there are now offers that support pedal noise (Single Pedal 2). If you don't need that you can even go for any switch type sustain pedal you already have. That's why it seems somewhat consequent to me that there's no pedal included from the dealers I checked.

Re: Pedals included?
I just bought a Yamaha FC3A sustain pedal. It is a continuous pedal and functions just like the Nord Pedal at 1/3 of cost. Works for half pedaling and pedal sounds. I can confirm it works on the NS4. Was $40 on Amazon.

That's good news! Firstly I have one (FC3A) already and secondly I have good trust on Yamaha's pedals in general. They seem to be very well constructed and last long.
(* On the other hand I have a long bad history with Nord Triple pedals and I have had many and still have. There's some weakness in their structure, it's always (right) sustain pedal which starts to malfunction or goes dead. I certainly hope new Triple pedal2 is better)

Re: Pedals included?
Looks like the Nord Triple Pedal 2 is manufactured by Kawai instead of Fatar.
Bclarkj, you mean that pedal noise and half pedalling works without a problem with a standard continuous sustain pedal - or at least a certain type of them (which the Yamaha FC3A is)? That would be great news.

Re: Pedals included?
I can only confirm the Yamaha model but, yes. Set it to NP2 in the pedal settings. The setting window will show the pedal gradually increasing and decreasing output in the graphic (on NS4). A regular on/off pedal just shows fully on and fully off in the graphic.

I just received my NS4C which arrived with OS 0.96. I bought the Yamaha FC3A and set the NS4 pedal to SP2 and it worked for both 1/2 pedaling and pedal noise. I upgraded to OS 0.98 and the 1/2 pedaling and pedal noise no longer works and I am getting hanging notes when switching patches with the pedal down, so I have either discovered a bug or have a faulty pedal.
Can you please verify that your FC3A is working correctly on OS 0.98?
