I updated to this version recently to get the EP filters. Downloaded all of the 6.0 versions, everything sounds great.
However, I have a volume pedal connected to both my NS3 and A1. Even though the only Extern feature I have enabled is Program Change, the Control Pedal volume is always sent from the NS3 to the A1when I move the pedal on the NS3. This prevents me from controlling the volume of the A1 independently. If I hit the pedal on the A1 back to 0 volume, it stays that way until I change the pedal on the NS3 which turns on the volume on the A1. This did not happen in any previous versions. I rolled back to 1.60 and got a "Version Error" on the patches with the new features, but the volume then operated independently as it should.
I checked all of the Pedal settings in the System menu and they are correct.
If anyone could check this out, it would be appreciated.
Thanks-

Yep, all Global Midi disabled. All Extern settings are Per Program. It is happening over Midi cable.

Re: OS 2.00 Possible Midi Issue
I confirmed this with an empty program. With nothing other than Program change enabled, the NS3 sends Volume messages from its pedal to the A1.
In addition, even in the Extern Volume setting, if I move the dial to 0, the volume on the A1 is silent. As soon as I move the NS3 pedal in either direction, up or down, the A1 is again affected.
Essentially, the NS3 volume pedal always sends volume messages to the midi connected device (A1), even when those settings are disabled.
This will force me back to the older EPs and 1.60.

Re: OS 2.00 Possible Midi Issue
I think there is another new problem related to this:
Looks like the filtering of the outgoing sustain from the external section isn't working anymore (found out the hard way during a show). If I disable it, it's still transmitted to my external module. This is a new problem that occurred after upgrading from 1.60 to 2.00.
Hope they fix this in the next update.
Maybe it's a good idea for Nord to expand the testprotocols before releasing any new updates. Can't be to hard to test these basic functions with each new release.

Nord is adding so many great features so fast that it is impossible to test all existing functions every release. In my opinion, the NS3 is close to being the best stage keyboard ever manufactured.

Re: OS 2.00 Midi Issue
Just an update on this, I heard back from Nord Tech Support (Pablo directly) and he told me that the issue I was experiencing in 2.00 is a tweak they did, when Swell is set to “Volume”, cc#7 will be sent on the Extern channel when pedal is operated. Hopefully there will be a way to disable this new feature, as it does not work for my setup.

Re: OS 2.00 Midi Issue
The 2.10 update fixed this problem for me. I will have to go into each program and turn off three settings for each panel, but that is ok. I just don't understand why having this function to begin with would be desirable.
Anyway, thanks, Pablo, for getting this taken care of!
