Re: Orchestra suond on Nord Stage EX ?
The original Stage and Stage EX had a synth engine based on the virtual-analog Nord Lead.
The ability to play samples was only added in the Stage 2, seven years ago.
There is a huge library of exactly those sounds on Nord’s websites, and you can create your own samples and use those.

Re: Orchestra sound on Nord Stage EX ?

In English: "Samples that I can download from the clavia site are only dedicated to the piano, nothing else. but the strange thing is that on the NE EX there is not the minimum waveform of a violin or other orchestral part ..!
10 and praise for the sounds of the piano, and equally for the Hammond management, but it is a slip the lack of the orchestra!

Re: Orchestra sound on Nord Stage EX ?
@giulionkeyboard: As @analogika already said, the Nord Stage EX synth cannot play back samples. This was added as a new feature to the Nord Stage 2.
The piano section can only play pianos (acoustic, electric, class, etc). It cannot play (orchestral) samples, which is kept in a different format than the piano samples.
You unfortunately need to upgrade to a Stage 2 (at least) or get e.g. an Electro 3 to play Nord samples.

Not a slip... it just wasn't what the instrument was designed to do. It was designed to be a piano, organ, and synthesizer. However, it also has a MIDI controller function (the EXT sections), and through that, you can add orchestral and other sounds from an iPad/iPhone, sound module, etc. Alternatively, short of upgrading to a new Nord, you could add a small second keyboard that specializes in those other sounds, something like a Yamaha MX49 for example.

Giulio, in this forum you should not write in Italian but only in English, it is a rule you accepted when signing up.
As anotherscott has pointed out, the original Nord Stage Classic and EX has a simple pure Virtual Analog synth on board which of course is not designed to produce real acoustic sounds, like workstations or in general the ROMplers do... this is just like any other pure Virtual Analog synth, i.e. the Nord Lead (from which it is derived) or similar.
If you need something different you can add an expander or second keyboard that have those sounds, by the way according to your profile you have a Nord Wave, but in general and for the future I recommend that you check the characteristics of an instrument before buying it, not after...

Re: Orchestra sound on Nord Stage EX ?
Ah, the Nord Wave can load the orchestral sounds like the newer versions of the Stage can.

Re: Orchestra sound on Nord Stage EX ?
of course it can, and I am very satisfied with this!
the NS instead serves me in a small live situation, where I mainly use piano and hammon, and only for a song I need Violins/orchestra, and I did not want to bring me an extra keyboard (in this case the NW) just for a song, all there...
I always believe that the NS is a great keyboard !!

Re: Orchestra sound on Nord Stage EX ?
Yes, probably the biggest change from the Nord Stage EX to the Stage 2 is that they updated the synth section to be more like the Nord Wave, including having its ability to work with that sample library.
