Hi! I have samples in nsmp3 format that I would like to upload to my NS4, but NSM only uploads them to Bank Misc without having the option to change...the problem is that there are only 100 locations..how is it possible to upload them to the other banks? Thank you!!

If you put NSM in "Organize" mode, you'll see all available locations to store your samples and can choose the location where you want the sample. Check the manual as there are different options for managing existing samples. Note that if you delete an existing sample you "break" any programs using it; NSM provides information on how many programs use each sample (see manual in options for replacing). Good luck.

The NSM default is to drop a sample in the first available location, so I assume all banks below M are full. In organize mode you can choose the location where you want the sample. Sample Category is embedded in the .nsmp when it is created, you cannot change it. Maybe that's the reason? Or maybe nsmp v4 has a different way to manage categories, so it considers all previous ones (converted by NSM) as "Misc"?

Thanks Maxpiano..you here too ..yes they are probably all read as Misc..let's hope for some updates, because otherwise it's a big limitation to have only 100 Misc locations and that's it

The NS4 and NSM manuals weren't much help, so I looked at the NS4 backup file to understand the sample storage. My NS3 has all of the samples saved in one place (no "banks") with NSM by default saving each new sample to the first available memory location. It appears that with the Piano 5, NW2, and NS4, Nord now places samples based upon their categories. It's odd that there's a limit to the number allowed in "Misc", and maybe any other category. I would suggest contacting Clavia as I haven't found any documentation on it. Good luck!

Yes, each category (even Accordian ) has 100 slots for samples. There are 26 categories including User, Misc, and Undefined, what ever that is.
