NS4 Morph range monitor

Post by mobil »

Seems like NS4 doesn't have a very useful feature present in NS3,

"Morph range range monitor", that was triggered pressing:

Monitor + Wheel/ATouch/Ctrl Ped button and turning a morphed parameter control.

I really would like this feature to work on the Stage 4 as well. Should this be entered on the Known Bug Spreadsheet?

Same wish! Can't see any morphed parameters with the monitor button or in any other way.

Not sure it's a bug, but definitely a nice feature to request of Clavia and add to the Google sheet linked HERE.

I absolutely depend on this function, most of my layer sounds have morphs on the control pedal which also does swell for the organ and the attenuation curve must remain parallel to the organ. Unfortunately, the level progression is also somewhat different from the NS3 - not 1:1 transferable. The NS File Viewer, which shows this with the NS3 even without the monitoring function, can unfortunately not yet load NS4 files. This monitor function is now the only way to get all the sounds successfully from the NS3 to the NS4. So far I have only transferred a few sounds the NS4 is not yet usable for me.

I just sent this bug to Nord yesterday. I'll update this when I receive their response.

I sent a similar request to Nord a few weeks ago already... (but no feedback unfortunately, as usual I would say)

The FW version 1.2 solves this now, but only partially, now the current position of the morphed value is displayed when the monitor and the morphed control element are touched -> you have to move the morphing source to get something displayed, so in my case press the control pedal, monitor and the button that is moved with it -> of course the pedal must be connected.
It would have been nicer if the morph source plus the start and end values were simply displayed in the line when the monitor was pressed.
