Still the big problem with voice stealing in the synth section...

Try a sound with 500ms attack and release with absout 2sec and play repeating chords.
A lot of cutting sounds...

Hi,

I recently updated my NS3 operating system from version 1.6x to version 2.1x and I noticed that the way to select the synth presets has changed completely, in a way that in my opinion is less usable than it was in the previous OS version. In addition, I read in the 2.1x manual that two new leds and a labels have been added to the synth section, in order to select and show the selected synth preset modes and categories, which my keyboard does not have, as it was manufactured before these changes were introduced.

Right after upgrading to version 2.1x some time ago I was unable to find out how to select the synth samples. Even the most updated User Manual was not showing this and I learned it by reading the Release Notes. I think this is a major change, who should have been added as an option, with a configuration parameter, and let the user choose how to select the synth samples and categories, depending on the synth board they have.

Would it be possible to make this change configurable in a future OS release?

No new LEDs or labels have been added physically to any boards. Nord does not read these forums for technical support or feature requests. The most updated user manual is for 2.1x and does show precisely how to select synth samples, which has become quite simple and straightforward. I suggest you check again and download that manual for full details. If you still wish to provide product feedback, please open a support ticket with Nord directly.

Reading the new manual it’ s clear that there will be a phisical revision b of the nord stage 3.

Wow, that's a serious re-working of the Synth section. The type button for piano is definitely missed too... glad to see them realize those controls are useful. Fortunately this won't change the usability significantly, but it does make the interface much clearer to navigate!

Still, has anyone seen this hardware revision in the wild? Mine is a version 3 panel with the Dyno screening but I still have the same synth UI and physical controls as anybody else.

Nice facelift would love to have it as well, unfortunately I have a NS3 even without the Dyno labels ....
