Hi I'm thinking to put Ketron SD40 ontop my NS3 to have some more sonic possibilities and arranger facilities.
Someone have just tested this setup? Work fine the extern section of nord to drive SD40?
Thanks in advance

Re: NS3+Ketron SD40
If it helps, any keyboard with a 5-pin DIN MIDI Out (which includes the Nord) can drive any module with a 5-pin MIDI In (which includes the Ketron). What can get more complicated is mixing and matching a keyboard's (internal) sounds with a module's (external) sounds simultaneously. That's what the Stage's EXT function is for, and it will work as long as the module can respond to just a single MIDI channel (i.e. the module isn't OMNI-only)... which means basically that virtually everything works. I don't think there's been an OMNI-only module since the 80s. (Though some iPhone/iPad MIDI apps are OMNI-only, so that's how it can still be an issue today.) So I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

Thanks a lot. Yes I'm sure that it work, but only who have this set up know better the aspects of this matching.

Re: NS3+Ketron SD40
Hi, I have put the Ketron SD40 with the NS3 and it works perfectly. This is a great combination utilising the wonderful and realistic Ketron samples/styles with the Nord.
