Hi there
Wondering if anyone can help me with an issue i'm having on an NS3 Compact, OS 1.32. I think I'm possibly making a silly oversight somewhere, but I'm having no success finding the answer by reading the manual or doing a forum/google search.
When I go to create a new Program from scratch and set up a sample on the synth section, I cannot seem to activate the Fast Attack. However, if I select a Factory preset program with the Fast Attack already activated (like D27 Mad Bass Split for example), I can switch the Fast Attack on and off without any issue. (This does not apply to Factory presets that contain a sample but no Fast Attack already activated).
Am I doing something wrong? Or is this a bug??
Thanks in advance!
Donna

Re: NS3 Fast Attack Issue
Actually, note a correction to what I wrote before - it turns out I can activate Fast Attack on certain Factory Presets with samples but not others... for example I can activate/deactivate it on presets D:26 & D:27, but not D:28.
Is it because only certain samples can have this feature enabled?

Re: NS3 Fast Attack Issue
Correct. "Fast attack" will omit part of the attack phase of the sample and start playing back at a predefined spot a little farther on (like skipping the initial swell of a violin sample).
If no fast attack start point has been defined for that particular sample, it's not going to be available.

Re: NS3 Fast Attack Issue
Yes, you have to set the fast attack point in the Nord sample editor
Actual synth: Nord Modular G2 - Nord Stage 3 73 - Virus Ti2 - Peak - Prophet 6
Before: Nord Lead 3 & 4, Stage 1&2, Wave, Virus C, DSI Tetra, P12, and few others...

Re: NS3 Fast Attack Issue
Thanks for clarifying, great to know how to enable the feature in the sampler editor too. Appreciate you all taking the time to answer!
