Re: NS3 Factory Restore problem

Post by brunnodomingues »

Hello! Thanks for the answers. I'm adding some photos of the problem. Maybe someone else has some idea of a solution ...

But in short, the current situation is as follows:
- the keys are already normal and I have the organ sounds and synths.
- No piano tone works and the message "piano not found" appears on the keyboard display.
- the factory restore does not work and the photo message appears. And I think it must be because somehow my pianos have been corrupted.

Can someone please send me an NS3 backup so I try to make the restore factory with it?

The NS3 backup is on the Nord website, but that Flash Init error is a bad sign (of a potential HW problem) and is probably why your restore attempts are failing... go for service...

Before taking it for repair, I wanted to try doing the restore factory, but using Backup from some other NS3. Can someone please send me an NS3 backup so I try to make the restore factory with it?

Hello,

why do you want a backup from another NS3 instead of using the factory restore file which is provided by Nord on their webpage? There is no difference except of probably what a user has changed when he worked with his NS3, but otherwise it’s the same kind of file. If the Nord factory restore file did not work then no other full backup file will work as well, because the original Nord restore file does not contain for example any corrupt Pianos

I also suggest you contact your dealer or Nord support to get it fixed.

One question: are the bolts which you used the original ones from Nord, or did you use other bolts which have not been delivered by Nord with the Stand?

As I already mentioned: Just try to download ONE piano sound (anyone from Nord's Piano Library will do). If that also fails, your hardware is unfortunately likely broken.

The backup just restores a set of sounds and programs. You don't need to try all sounds just to see if the keyboard works.

Can you browse the piano sounds from the keyboard dial?

Bruno, whats up man
Did you solve the problem?
Something like this happened to me, but only the MANAGER message, not the board one.
Specially with the Silver Grand. Maybe something related with Eq?? "CrEq"?
I don't know if you join our whatsapp NS3 group in Brazil, but if you don't I'm sending you a message with my number so I can put you in.

Hello everyone!
Just giving feedback from my case. The solution was to take a repair shop Nord for maintenance. the problem was in the Pianos Flash Memory and I had to change the board. It was expensive, but it worked.

Thank you all for the attention and help.
