I do. Have for years. I use the pedal to control volume, no need to ride it constantly.

Re: NS2: Organ & Synth Newbie - Help!
Does it control the "Mastersound" or is it assignable?

On the stage 2, it can control the volume of the instrument, that is how I use it. Programmable in the System menu-

Re: NS2: Organ & Synth Newbie - Help!
I always stand when playing for the simple reason it takes less space on stage! I have three pedals in my usual rig, which are, left to right - Leslie fast / slow, swell and sustain. If I stand in the right place I can balance my right foot on swell or sustain, and have my left toe tapping the Leslie switch while balancing with the rest of it.
The only thing I can't really do when standing as oppose to sitting is play pedal bass, but I don't really have much call for that in the bands I'm currently in.
I use the swell for gain ie: pushing the pedal down increases volume and overdrive, because that's how it works on a real Hammond and what I'm used to. In terms of drawbars, I would start out with 888000000, which should be a recognisable and familiar sound and which I use as a template for everything else.

Re: NS2: Organ & Synth Newbie - Help!
Wow - Thanks Sakari!!! That must have just gotten on there after I looked through the library. I downloaded it and you and listen to the different sounds. It def has some of what I need.sakari wrote:Nord has just posted 'old skool' percussion sounds in the Sample section...download them, they sound like something that might help you. From the Nord website.
But now I can't figure out how to get a sample onto my keyboard. I installed the sound manager no problem and can see how what's in my program banks in the keyboard are also on the sound manager on my computer. And I can move the sample to the sample tab in the sound manager. But I can't figure out how to get the sounds on my keyboard (move them to one of the program banks). Am I missing something here? I assumed the samples I downloaded from the Nord Library are sounds I can play on my keyboard.
Thanks!
