NS2 MIDI on USB and MIDI Ports Simultaneously
I suspect the answer is 'No'; but on the Nord Stage II, is there a way of configuring MIDI receive such that, say, the slot A piano section will respond on channel 1 at both the USB port and the MIDI in port?
TIA.
TIA.

No, it's one or the other.
What is it that you're trying to do?

You might be able to work around this. You could set the piano section in slot A to respond to USB 5 (for example) and set slot A itself to respond to MIDI 5. If you then enable the piano section in slot A, I think it would respond to both USB 5 (since that is the channel directly configured for it) and MIDI 5 (since it gets that via slot A).

Oops. I think I spoke too soon. I was thinking of the Electro 4, which is a one-or-the-other proposition.

Re: NS2 MIDI on USB and MIDI Ports Simultaneously
Hm. Thanks for your answers.
The problem is that I want to access sound engines on separate channels, but I sequence at home and bounce the audio at our guitar player's studio. I have no MIDI interface at home so run from USB, no problem. The guitar player doesn't always have enough USB ports and would rather me go via MIDI instead.
It's more a convenience thing than anything else - I could just change the channels in the menus. Just wondered if there was something I was missing.
Cool idea about the slot channels and the engine channels, I will give that a try.
