HI everyone.
I'm experiencing strange polyphony problems on my NORD STAGE 3 COMPACT.
OS is latest release 2.22 (now 2.24 , same problems)
one split point , upper piano-pad , lower part custom bass sample.
on the video bass stops at 00.12 and 00.59.....
Randomly bass doesn't sound....I think is polyphony problem , but as you can see from video , I don't use so many notes....and the thing is RANDOM.
This thing happens home and live , with different sustain pedals , different types of pad and bass , both with bass in mono or poly , with differents velocity responses , with short or long release on pad sound , with pad with one or two oscilltators , with super wave , with strings or pad SAMPLE.
Is not a key problem , it happens with every note.
I tried also to "switch" panels....Bass on panel A and Pad on panel B , the Pad on Panel A and Bass on Panel B.
the thing is NOT happening if I switch off pad sound , so looks really poliphony problem-
You can see I'm hitting the key , with no sound , but as you can hear , and see , is not such a polyphony stressing part....
I play in the same way with bass split since years , but with previous Nord Stage models , NS EX , NS 2 , NS 2 EX I NEVER had such problems.
Tried to send video to nord but I had no answer.
Any help?

have you tried to substitute the bass sample with one of the Nord Sample Library?

Yes , I used some preset program as well , same thing.

... I'm facing the same problem using different basses with a piano and a synth pad and I haven't found a solution 'til now. As we have no bass player in our band this is a real show stopper. At the moment I'm using Sample Tank on an iPad for the bass controlled by the external section of the stage 3 (as a workaround). Any ideas to solve the problem?

Hi razfaz.
I was thinking it could be a problem of MY keyboard , but I can see I'm not the only one....
This is very annoying , I play often keybass as well , and when randomly you "lose" bass notes is not pleasant.
Didn't find any solution , tried with different synth pad and with different bass sounds....always same problem.
I NEVER had this kind of problem with NS 2 and NS 2 EX.
I described the problem to Nord team , and gave them the link of this post , so they can see the video.
No answer so far , but usually they write back , even if it can take time.
Really hope they'll solve with a OS release....

Yeah, it's annoying when notes drop out randomly! I also frequently need to play key bass (sometimes with a pad too behind the piano), but haven't experienced such a problem ever.

I normally have piano on panel A and the bass on the other panel - is that how you have set it up too? If not, try to see if it could be a workaround to have them (keys and bass) in separate panels?

It's holiday time in Scandinavia, so many Nord guys are likely out at this time.

... interresting point: I really had the piano and bass in one panel. The pad had its own ... Changed it but there's still voice stealing in the bass.
I'm using a compact as Fabio does but that shouldn't change anything.
Also thanks for the information about Scandinavian hollidays ... so, we need to be patient ...

Could one of you share the program that causes problems, preferably using only standard samples?

thank you again for taking care. Here we go. This is my original "program" with piano and bass in one panel. I'm using the p58 bass from the nord sample library and a Bright XL.

Panel A and B are sharing the 34 voices. If i would play bass on the NS3 on the left side I would have only a Bass in Panel A and only a piano or organ in Panel B. NO other synth in Panel B!!
There a still voice steeling Problems the never fixed until now.

I also play the bass in my band but I use a second board (Fantom X6).

I tried to use only one board (NS3) but with this voice steeling Problems it isn’t possible.
