Hey guys. Although I've only experienced this problem once, I'm dead scared that it might happen again, so I'd appreciate any input on this matter. So, here goes:
The scenario: I'm playing a local award show with a band, using a combination of my trusty (or so I thought) Nord Stage classic 76 rev.b, a Nord Piano and a MicroKorg. We're backing a handful of Norway's biggest artists within a ton of genres, so I've set up separate patches for each song on my NS, with a combination of pianos, synths and organ sounds. The sound check went off without a single glitch, and every preset worked perfectly. However, when it was time to take the stage for the main show, the organ sounds all seem to have malfunctioned! The piano and synth part of the NS worked perfectly, but the organ sound seemed to have dimmed itself. I barely heard any sound coming from the organ at all. Luckily, we brought a Nord Electro by accident(!), and so I actually managed to pull the gig off. However, seing as I play quite a few bands with my NS, focusing on the organ sounds, this gave me quite a scare. And the weird part? When I got my Nord Stage home, everything seemed to be working perfectly.
So I guess my question would be: Have any of you guys experienced anything similar? I'm set to tour with a couple of bands soon, and I'd really hate for my trusty old steed to break down on me again. Since I can't seem to recreate the problem at home, I'm at a complete loss here.

Re: Nord Stage organ module malfunction?
Hmm. Good thing you had the extra electro and it all worked out
One reason that comes to mind could be if you used a swell pedal for the organ, and saved the patch while the pedal was on low volume. And then if you didn't use the pedal at the show (or it was set to low during the show), I would asume that the organ would still be on low output.
To fix it, you would need to plug in a pedal of course (or raise the swell pedal if it was set to low).
I'm no expert, just trying my best to help

Oh. My. God. I usually don't use my swell pedal, but I think I might have had it connected to the organ for this particular gig. One of the sound guys must have tampered with it between the sound check and the gig.
I have honestly never felt more stupid in my entire life, but I fear that Cbas may have found the solution to my problems.
Let us never talk about this again.

OMG, awsome situation on a gig! Glad you "fixed" the bug. Me too hassled around the PA and my monitoring system for half an hour because the whole Stage Sound was crappy on a gig someday - just to discover the my audio cable (using a Stereo-Cable on the Headphone jack, splitting into two mono ones) was not fully inserted ... Feel with you!
