Whereas normally during power-on every LED on the panel lights up for a moment before the OS initializes, now the OS never initializes and the LEDs simply remain lit until the board is powered off.
Because I had left the board plugged in the night before and cut power to the power strip (rather than powering off the board itself), I assumed this problem might be power supply related. The fuse is fine, there seemed only to be some residue surrounding the larger capacitors. The voltage at the leg of U2, however, was reading a bit high, around 5.2V. I've since replaced both U2 and the larger capacitors, but no change in the board's boot-up behavior. At least U2 is outputting 3.3V now, though. EDIT: This was my oversight. U2 was reading 5.2V without a load on it. It was probably reading just fine before I replaced it, but I guess it doesn't hurt to have a new one.
The ribbon cables all appear to be in good shape and are seated properly. I see no other signs of damage on any of the main boards and there were never any strange smells or anything associated with the problem. I have also tried to reinstall/update the OS, but the board is not recognized by my PC via USB, presumably because it's not initializing at all.
I'm at a loss as to where to look next. I have not yet contacted Clavia about the problem, I figured I'd turn to this amazing community first -- has anyone else out there experienced this kind of issue, particularly with the Stage EX? Any thoughts on where to turn?
