Ability to chose any key for split point would be nice, not only for stage but for all future releases. Other keyboards much cheaper and older can do that.

I agree that for a multi-purpose keyboard it would be nice to have a separate sample section, or simply more parts of synth/sampler as it is presently structured. Doing cover band work, many times I have to work around the limitations of having only two samples available.
Flexible split points would be another nice bonus, but keep the LED split indicators, at all costs! They are awesome when you have tens of programs each one with different split settings!

But this would mean a physical LED for each key... would be very cool, but I don't see it happening...Spider wrote:Flexible split points would be another nice bonus, but keep the LED split indicators, at all costs! A note repeat in addition to the arpeggiator so you don't have to burn the LFO using it is a note repeat, meaning you cannot also use the LFO for slow, sweeping sounds.
Or a second LFO...
Or...dare I ask it.... both??

Re: Nord Stage 4 Wishlist
I have quite a few suggestions, but the easiest (I think) is high note tracking in monophonic mode. The synth would play the highest note played in any chord just like the Prophet 10 would do with one panel polyphonic and one monophonic. Think of the violin behind powerful B3 chords in a Kansas song.
Nord Stage 4 | Nord Stage 3 | SC Prophet T8 | Korg X50... In the past: Nord Stage EX, 2, 2EX | SC Prophet 5, 10 | MiniMoog | Hammond B3 & 122 Leslie | Yamaha DX7IIFD, EX5, CP60 | Hohner D6 | Fender Rhodes | Roland S-50, D-50, XP-50...

Neither do I, that's probably the reason why we never had flexible splits. Still, for immediacy in live/stage use, I think that fixed split points with LEDs are better than flexible splits with no indication at all.Hlaalu wrote:But this would mean a physical LED for each key... would be very cool, but I don't see it happening...Spider wrote:Flexible split points would be another nice bonus, but keep the LED split indicators, at all costs! By the way, there are MIDI controllers with one LED per key, so it's not such an unthinkable hypothesis...

Re: Nord Stage 4 Wishlist
As I will use the Compact version on top of a hammer action controller/piano:
Let the piano section accept triple sensor midi input to benefit from the much better playability of a triple sensor controller. NS3 does not handle this. Also hope for a more advanced sample playet section.

Re: Nord Stage 4 Wishlist
I'm always curious what everyone would like to see in a new Stage 4.
I created a Wish List some time ago - feel free to add your suggestions, maybe Clavia will read them

Re: Nord Stage 4 Wishlist
My wish for the Stage 4 list is that Clavia will fix/improve some things on the Stage 3 first
