Nord Stage 4 + Wave2

Post by Arni61 »

Which synth would you recommend as a second keyboard for my Stage 4 /73? It should be a good addition.
Does it make sense to buy the Wave2 in addition to the NS4 if the NS4 already contains the Wave2 engine?
You can see some professional users like Matthew Whitaker playing the Wave2 with their Stage4.

Stage 4 and Wave 2 have quite a lot in common. If you are looking for "more synth capabilities" than what’s in the Stage 4, the Wave 2 will probably be a disappointment. If you will be using extensively (own) samples, such a combination might perhaps make sense.

Here is my personal conclusion after having tested the Wave 2 for a couple of weeks: https://www.norduserforum.com/nord-wave ... ml#p169847

Unfortunately, there is no "pure" Nord Lead synth with a proper keybed in Clavia‘s portfolio. I’m also waiting for a Lead 5/A2 ;)

If I would go for a second keyboard and money would not be relevant, I would go for a Yamaha Montage M7 or M6. Otherwise a used Yamaha Montage 6/7 would also be a good option.
