Nord Stage 4 and TP-1 question
I’m considering an upgrade from a NS3 to NS4 and curious about the triple pedal. I know about the new triple pedal, but the manual makes reference to plugging the old one (tp-1) in. Has anyone done this? Does it still work as a triple pedal if you do that, or only sustain? Even crazier question - could you plug in both and have them all work?!

Re: Nord Stage 4 and TP-1 question
With the Nord stage 4 and the tp-1 you can use the left pedal as a slow/fast for the leslie. That’s what i did. And the middle for changing layers for example. This works great!

Re: Nord Stage 4 and TP-1 question
The TP1 has the full functionality of the TP2 at the Stage 4.redisred wrote:Does it still work as a triple pedal if you do that, or only sustain?

Re: Nord Stage 4 and TP-1 question
Probbaly yes as NTP2 is not controlled by Pedal menu, according to NS4 manual, so you can still set Sustain = NTP1 while having NTP2 connected, but what would be it useful for?redisred wrote:Even crazier question - could you plug in both and have them all work?!

Re: Nord Stage 4 and TP-1 question
We recommend to go for Kawai GFP-3 (https://www.thomann.de/de/kawai_gfp_3.htm) and maybe you buy an adapter that it looks nice ( More details on that you can find here (https://www.norduserforum.com/nord-stag ... 23384.html).redisred wrote:I’m considering an upgrade from a NS3 to NS4 and curious about the triple pedal. Re: Nord Stage 4 and TP-1 question
Thanks everyone, super helpful! I am a bit confused why the tp-2 even needs to exist if the tp-1 can function the same way, but it’s nice to have options. Also, very cool that the kawaii pedal works the same! Great tip, thanks.

Re: Nord Stage 4 and TP-1 question
If you look at its specs ypu can see that Kawai GFP-3=NTP2 has all 3 pedals continuous and with optical reading, (NTP1 has a 5 steps sustain and on/off Sostenuto and Soft) so while NTP2 can do all that you can with NTP1, the opposite may not be true (particularly in case of future OS evolutions taking advantage of the NTP2 characteristics)redisred wrote:Thanks everyone, super helpful!
