Nord Stage 3 UK to CAN Voltage

Post by 88KEY »

Hi there, need some help. I’m moving from the UK to Canada Alberta.

And I want to know if I can take my Nord stage three over to Canada.

I know the voltage on the back says 230 V but Canada power outlets are only 120 V.
Am I going to have to convert this by opening up the keyboard, or will the keyboard work as normal anyway?

I know this has been covered here - it’s a switch on the power supply and a fuse replacement. If you want to avoid using an external transformer you need to open it up.

Wow what a pain, this can’t be the case for every touring keyboard who uses a nord though can it? Imagine doing this every time you land in a different country!

If you do that frequently, just buy a 220V -> 110V adapter (voltage converter)

well it's a bigger pain whit all the keyboards/brands that doesn't allow you to change the voltage and fuse at all.
In these scenarios your only choice is buying a converter.

And then there are ones that auto switch from 120 to 240.
