Re: Nord Stage 3 Split Question
A program has two organs, two pianos, two synths, and two extern sections for controlling external synths. These can be assigned across four split regions on the keyboard, where you can assign one sound only, say, to the second region, but another across the upper three regions, for example.
Song Mode is just a way to chain five different programs together in a different view. So if you want to vary those assignments during a song, you can just create a program for each variation and reference those in a song.

So you are basically saying that with NS3 I can split only 4 NS3 voices across the keyboard ? if that is the case can I transpose the octaves of each voice ? If I can split only 4 voices that is sort of very limited because with a Korg Trinity Rack Module I can split 8 voices and that thing is 23 years old.

You can split 6 NS3 voices across the keyboard (two organs, two pianos, two synths), plus two external voices. Since there are a maximum of 4 split regions across the keys, if you assign 6 voices, some will need to overlap.

Yes.

And a brand new Steinway grand won't split at all. Different instruments are designed to do different things. The overlap in functionality and features between a Trinity Rack and an NS3 is very little. However you can use the Trinity Rack as a source for the Nord's external sounds.

Re: Nord Stage 3 Split Question
Thank you very much. I think 4 sounds is the necessary split I need.
