Re: Nord Stage 3 & sample editor - velocity layers?

I think a point is being missed here. The Stage 3 has three independent functions. Basic 'piano', organ and synthesizer. The fact the Stage allows you to use samples instead of waveforms as the source for the synthesizer is not a detriment, it is an advantage. It's not a dedicated sampler/sample player. That's why those samples are in the synthesizer section.

Any news on this topic? For me as a Reggae keyboarder I really need to split between organ and Piano with different velocyties, as I donot have enough hands otherwise... does anyone know a midi keyboard that has velocity split? I could connect this to the nord and use the controllers velocity split, but could not finda controller that does it

I don't know of any controller which does that, but you could do it using a computer and some advanced MIDI Routing software (or a HW one such as MidiSolutions Event processor), however I think in your case the solution is different: you don't have enough hands but you have your feet, I would use the CtrlPedal to handle the "switch" between piano and organ, via Morph (or just Organ Swell, if Piano can stay).
