From Nord about these demos...

“All demos performed live on the Nord Stage 3 using only the internal effects.”

Reverb is post Leslie. Also the Leslie behavior sounds like the Stage 2/2EX rather than whats in the Stage 3 now. It's very choppy on the fast leslie in the gospel demo.

Probably because it was an uncompleted prototype maybe?

Any ideas?

I guess the leslie sim must have it´s own reverb in some way, since you can have reverb on the organ (pre rotary), and for example on the piano, not being affected by organ or rotary, on the same panel at the same time.

Has this been fixed in the new update with the organ improvements?

Also, there was discussion earlier about the rotor balance, has this changed at all (even realizing that there's still no parameter to adjust it as there is on the E5)? Specifically, if anyone can compare it to an E5, I'm curious as to whether the NS3 rotor balance sounds equivalent to the 50/50 setting on the E5, or if it is closest to some other setting. (Personally on my E5, I preferred setting it to 60/40 in favor of the rotor, so it would be ideal for me if the NS3 were closer to that!)

You’re right, it was discussed in another post. I do not know if Clavia decided after these demos to change the reverb position. So the demo for me are prior to this change or reverb was added after to the organ (external effect).

Jo,

If you look here (http://www.nordkeyboards.com/products/n ... ison-chart), it appears as if the Rotary emulation has changed from 4D to the 5D; they have slightly different names.

So maybe the 4D has a somewhat different rotary emulation than the 5D (6D) and C2D?

Others that have had the 4D and 5D may be able to tell better; I'm not too familiar with the 4D myself unfortunately.

Leslie sim is way better on NE5 when compared to NE4 IMHO.

I have to concur. The B on my NE5D blows aware the NS3. It is very disappointing, however, I am hopeful that Nord will figure it out for their flagship
