Hello all guys,
I think i have a problem with my NS3 compact. Right now, it's no longer under warranty, since mine is v2.0.0 (First Batch). BTW, i was the first in Portugal to have this model!
Please check this video, that i've just recorded:
https://1drv.ms/v/s!Ajrzn9Vj0XDuoGkAiDn ... y?e=LvXiDb
You guys will notice that every-time that i set the Mod Wheel all the way down, it bounces back a little bit...
Do i have some loose screw inside?
Another issue, i don't know if it is related with the previous one, but i have set the Leslie speed to be assignable with the Mod Wheel. From my previous experience with this function, the "middle" of the Wheel would be the turning point... Right now, is changing from Slow to Fast on a higher trigger point... should i worry about this? Should i consider this a problem? Please check video:

Re: Nord Stage 3 (Compact) - Mod Wheel Problems
Hello! A few days ago I noticed exactly the same problem with my Nord Wave. In some programs I have assigned some morphing to the wheel/pedal destination and use an expression pedal so that I can have both my hands on the keys. When this little bounce occurs, the sound changes to the possition of the wheel even if the pedal is the other way, this causes dramatic change to the tone sometimes. Probably something has turn loose inside the wheel mechanism and it has lost it's stability. It's time to send it for check I think.

Hi Jo and Alex,
i think you are right. The screw inside could be loose. I had the same problem and could fix it by myself although within the warranty. I don't want to send it back cause I need it every week.
I just postet a short repair tutorial on instagram - just look for piano_groove.

Thank you pianogroove. I believe it's something very simple but I don't trust my self to do it so I will take it to a friend of mine who is a very experienced technician regarding such things. I bought the keyboard second hand so it might need some cleaning too.

Re: Nord Stage 3 (Compact) - Mod Wheel Problems
Dear friends,
Please help me out. I had the mod wheel problem in my stage 3, and opened it, expecting the notorious conection problem. However, what I found was much sempler! The set swrew which set the wheel to the shaft of potentiometer was missing... Simple but very difficult problem because I cannot find the proper size and standard of the screw. I tried ISO #4 but it didn't work. Please let me know if you know the size and standard of the set screw!

I do not know the dimention, but if you have or can borrow a calliper, you can measure it yourself.
It is a metric size of som kind.
Look here to find the dimension based on what your calliper tell you.
Under the table “ Indv.diameter møtrik D1”
https://www.fagteori.dk/maaling2/gevind ... trisk.html
As you can se from the chart, as a reference, a M 3.0 should measure 2,459 mm inside the hole.
My guess is that they have used a pinion screw of some kind.

I think they are using something like this, so perhaps it is still in there and you might need a small Allen key to reach it, otherwise you might be lucky and find the set screw somewhere inside your keyboard.

Thank Bijosko!
Exactly, the set screw is something in the picture you posted. It is so tiny that it could go out of the fissure for the wheel, so mine has been missing. Also, it is difficult to measure the hole while you can use a caliper to measure the screw itself. Yamaha which is the distributor of Nord in Japan told me they can replace the wheel itself with the screw and will cost $300. Is that the only way to go? My stage 3 is already out of warranty, so I am willing to fix it by myself.
