Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but Audio cables for getting the Nord Sounds to Presonus, and MIDI Cables to Communicate things like program changes on different tracks.

Maybe it´s just me or maybe others have the same problem - I do not understand the question.

Re: Nord Stage 3 and Studio one 5 presonus
I Think his problem is when he change program on his Nord, Studio One see it as a midi command to change to or create a new track. There might be some filtering in Studio One that could handle it, or prevent the NS to send program changes by midi.

Re: Nord Stage 3 and Studio one 5 presonus
Ah ok.
All modern DAW´s usually have ways to filter out incoming commands.
Obviously the Nord sends prg-change commands while switching sounds. That is good and normal.
Look in your Studio One software for something where to adjust MIDI settings. Usually found under "preferences" or something. I am pretty sure there is a meue where you can set a filter for incoming signals and on which channel they should be filtered out.
Maybe at first check on which channel the Nord is set, in case it is set to "omni", it is a good idea to just set it to one channel, to avoid multiple signals in parallel, like notes or progchanges on all channels. Set your DAW to receive just this channel and filter out all unwanted signaltypes.
I do not know why your software opens up new tracks or does strange things while receiving stuff from the Nord. Maybe something about how signals are set to be interpreted. I do not know this DAW. But as soon as you have set your filters right, the problem should be gone.

Re: Nord Stage 3 and Studio one 5 presonus
As I understood the question, the change of tracks is intentional. Because you have different track sounds prepared to play with? So that in every single song part of the sound comes from the Stage, another part from the PC? No idea if you should do it that way (I might have tried it the same way with my DAW...). In any case, the Stage should send MSB, LSB and PC commands, but I don't have any idea if you get it sorted out with the MIDI routing capabilities of your software or you'd need something more.

By extrapolating post density, I think we'll get this straightened out by a quick clarification by the OP in about 6.5 years
