I have a problem with the transpose-function on my new Nord Stage 2. The problem is that when I play back a midifile from Cubase and transpose the NS the already recorded notes are being transposed.

I wrote to Clavia and I got this awnswer:

I think you are using the Slot/"Panel A" and "Panel B" MIDI to send to your Cubase and external devices. Do this with "External MIDI" activated instead when you intend to send to a sequencer or other devices.

The problem here is that I have no idea what he is talking about. Can someone please try to explain this a little bit more. I don't find any page in the meny to set the keyboard to "External MIDI". The only thing I can do is to activate the External section on the panel. But however... I still only find one way to transpose the keyboard and it's with the button on the panel.

What am I doing wrong?

to prevent the NS from sending control change midi messages from the front panel, set the midi channel for Panel/Slot A and B to "OFF".
this setting can be found in the MIDI MENU.

the factory setting on the NS is sending all MIDI data from the controllers on the front panel. that means every knob and button sends midi messages by default...
