Nord Stage 2, Ableton and MIDI control help needed

Hey all,

Here is a run-down of my rig: Korg NanoPAD2 > MacBook Pro > Ableton Live Suite > Nord Stage 2

I use the Korg NanoPAD2 to fire Ableton Live in Session View. Recently, I've been wanting to use Ableton Live to change patches on my Nord Stage 2. I plugged the Stage 2 in via USB (even tried using an M-Audio MIDISport Uno), created some dummy clips in a MIDI channel in Ableton, and was able to successfully fire those clips and make patch change happen in the Nord.

The problem arises when I try to use my NanoPAD2 to fire Ableton. Somehow, the NanoPAD2 is sending MIDI commands THROUGH Ableton into the Stage 2. I can't figure out how to have the NanoPAD2 communicate to Ableton and the buck stop there.
