Hi friends,
a issue has occured:
When I use the MW to morphe the vol (e.g. synth) the vol dial goes not up to full 100%! It goes from 0 to about -20db. Or from -20db to -13db and so on.
I can not use the full range of the volume anymore. (neither org/piano/synth nor Slot A/B) The same when I want to reduce the vol from 100% to 0.
I can´t confirm if it is a OS 2.0 Issue, but it worked before. Does anyone know what is wrong about?
Thanks for your help!
Helmuth

Re: Morphing by MW volume issue
It's not a 2.0 issue because I can morph volume to 0dB no problem.
BTW, 0 would be full volume, or clockwise. -Infinity would be "nothing" or fully counterclockwise.
How are you creating the morph? Are you sure your modwheel is fully functional?

Re: Morphing by MW volume issue
Hi 23skidoo,
thanks for your help. I already know about morphing and that 0 is full vol. I wrote - 20db or -13db. When I mean reduce, to 0%.
But I don´t know what is going on here.
The only idea is to check the drawbars, if they go to 8 when I morphe. I they do than it is not a physical prob.
I´ll check it tonight.
Thanks
Helmuth

Re: Morphing by MW volume issue
Hi, I knocked to the chassis and it is working again. Do you think it´s a loose wire thing? So I could fix it by myself; or send it back to the dealer. This will take some time and what to do if they don´t spot any errors?
What do you recommend?
Thanks for advice.

Re: Morphing by MW volume issue
The modwheel connector is known to get a little loose on some units. While I don't advise anything (since I don't know your level of comfort with disassembling/reassembling such complex devices) there is a thread (nord-stage-forum-f3/please-post-only-if ... 14534.html) here which discusses this precise issue. You may read that and draw your own conclusions, but it is very likely just that exact connector problem discussed there (and quite trivially fixed if you are competent with disassembling expensive and complex pieces of technical equipment). I recommend a small drop of super glue (very small, you do want this to be repairable in the future) if you're comfortable voiding your warranty, or perhaps a wee bit of a very sticky tape like gaffer tape or something, to hold it in place.

Hi,
my NS3c is back from SynthesizerServiceDepartment. MW has been fixed.
Everything is working fine. Thank you to Achim Lenzgen.
