When trying to download a Bundle I got the following error message.

The bundel you have selected does not match the content version of the connected instrument.
(bundle is V4, instrument is V5).
Make sure you are using the latest version of both Nord sound manager and the instrument OS.

A strange message because I just updated all.
I looks like they changed the bundle version.

I just bought a sound bundle and I'm not able to load it.
Any suggestions??

The bundle restore issue is fixed in the 7.30 update released today!

I have no experience with these other apps, but ForScore allows one to configure MIDI messages as a named preset, in addition to the usual manual entry that the other apps seem to employ.

Say you have a primary acoustic piano patch that is your go-to. Instead of manually inputting that program change into each and every score that uses it, you instead define a preset named "Nord Acoustic Piano", and assign the program change message to the preset in all the scores.

Then you set up your scores to invoke that preset.

So if something happens, and you want to change the program that all these scores use, you change it exactly once... in the preset. Bam, it propagates throughout your library instantly.

That's brilliant. That also helps address what happens when you someday want to upgrade from your NS3 to your likely patch-incompatible NS4. (Or if you end up switching to some other board, or supplementing your Nord with some other board whose sounds you prefer for some things, etc.) At least to the extent that you use many of the same sounds on a wide variety of songs.

I had to program a Lookup table in Excel to map programs to the LSB / Program Number. Instead of numbers running sequentially, they now run A11-A14, and Program numbers 0-4, in multiples of 5 until 100, then you flip the LSB to the next batch and start at 0-100 again for F-J, and so on until you get to Bank P, then flip to LSB 3 for only 25 ( I mean 24) programs.

In English, what this means is; you can't just look at the display and see O13 and then set your LSB to 6 and program number to 12; you now have to set your LSB to 2 and your program number to 102 ????

Yikes!!!

Hi Kbrkr,
Could you post your excell sheet please? Were you the one who did the first one for Stage 2? Because if it was you, thanks a lot, I use it all the time with my Stage 2...

Set List Maker / BandHelper work this way, too.

Yeah, I built out a little spreadsheet for this also. Made my brain hurt just a tiny bit :)

Still on 1.36, as I don't really need this feature.
I guess going forward, this is the permanent program/bank structure?

Its not guaranteed that Nord won't make another change, but its highly unlikely unless there are a huge number of complaints.
