Hi All,
Would require your guys advice on how to setup my Nord Stage 2 EX to my Logic Pro X and use it as a midi controller. I assume the setup must be easy, but when i was trying as how i did with my previous keyboard which is an arranger Yamaha PSR series it works after installing the driver. And since Nord does not have a driver and does not require a driver wa not able to set it up.
So a set by set process would be helpful for this.
Regards,
Ranjeet Raju

No driver required, just connect the NS2 via UsB and OS X will list it in the available MIDI Ports.
Then you need to set either the Global or an Extern section MIDI Channel to USB1 (or any other USBx); I recommend you download and study the Nord Stage MIDI tutorial available on NUF (link is on the home page of this site).

Hi.
I use mine as both a midi keyboard and main keyboard being plugged in through both USB and channels one and two.. when you plug in the USB to both keyboard and computer. bring up Logic pro . I am assuming you know how to set up logic. so when you click on the new track it asks for which type of track. click on Midi and your keyboard is then ready. . If you want to later click on Audio. then keyboard reverts to using the Nord as Normal instrument.

I assume you use a USB cable from your MAC to NordStage2. And that you not have a MIDI cable to an external SundCard.
Then set the Extern Section MIDI to usb1 - and do not set global. (Let that stay on MIDI 1) - If you set bot Global and Extern to usb1 strange things happens.
Now you can control Logic and also Main Stage (recomended) from the Extern section, and you can set the extern to work splits etc... Control volume, change octave, and change sound in MainStage.
Good luck! - and try MainStage.

Wow! You saved me with this one. I was banging my head trying to figure out why my pitch bend was moving a whole step when I played it on a recording, then 2 octaves when I played back the recording.
I was using my EXTERN. When I set my GLOBAL to something other than USB1 and everything was fixed!
