Gig bag for Stage 3

Postby Woodyeyes » 19 Mar 2019, 22:11

In case like me you've been in need of a lightweight gig bag, I've just bought a Fusion bag for my Stage 3. (Fusion F3-20 k 7 B) £140 from Gear 4 music.
It works a treat and is almost a perfect fit. A big improvement on my old snow board bag that I'd been using for my old (traded in for stage 3) Yamaha CP50.
I don't need a hard case as it's not going to be thrown in a band van.

Nord Stage 3 hp76, Yamaha CP300, Yamaha tenor sax, a Behringer X Air XR12 to mix keys sax and in ears, and a pair of 12” Mackie thumps to compete with noisy band mates.

I shudder to think of a keyboard with knobs like these being shunted into a thin-walled gig bag, but if that works for you, rock and roll! My keys roll by subway, bicycle, and taxi, so I'm in need of a lot more protection.

For me, I put mine in an SKB 3i series hardcase, and my other Nords/DSI synths in Gator Pro-Go 49 key heavily padded gig bags. I considered the Mono bag too (I have one for my bass guitar and love it) but they discontinued their 49 key and the 61 is just too large for my taste.

Update: After 11 months of gigging my Nord is still in perfect condition. The Fusion soft bag is still perfect for transporting in the back of my car. (Only me who loads/unloads).
