Hey,
the song "In Degrees" by Foals uses a synth at the beginning, which I am trying to reconstruct, but I'm not that experienced in sound synthesis. I got a Stage 3 and tried a lot.
Could you maybe answer me the following two questions?
1.: What do you think how the sound is built (waveform, filter, arpeggiator, effects etc.)?
2.: Can I reconstruct this with my Nord Stage 3 (or with other equipment) for live situations or can this sound only be done with prior sound editing with PC-software? Foals do not play this with one of the synthesizers live, it rather seems to be sampled and played back live. Here is the video:

Thank you for your help!

Re: Foals - In Degrees Sound
As great as the NS3 is, it doesn't lend itself to polyphonic arpegiations, like some other workstation type synths.
I'm thinking your best bet for a live, one keyboard solution, would be to sample the recording, or recreate the pattern with a different synth, that is better suited, and sample that.
