Yeah, it's a great interview - gotta love the wurly! Too bad my NE3 doesn't sound quite like that.
The piano BT plays in the interview sounds out of tune to me but maybe it's my ears....

Re: Drawbar settings suggestion?
I've owned 4 wurly 200a EPs over the years, and they didn't sound quite like that either. The NE3 is so close that I quit being concerned with the difference.Ilprincipe2 wrote:Yeah, it's a great interview - gotta love the wurly! Too bad my NE3 doesn't sound quite like that.

You're right! The little Melodipro 64 note acoustic pianos go out of tune if you just look at them funny. It's because the strings are so short and tight.
I really enjoyed seeing Ben's studio, it's a shame he never got to the Rhodes, and Hohner D6 clav in the corner:(

Re: Drawbar settings suggestion?
I guess so, I'm happy with the wurly on the NE3 but also with the 4 Rhodes sounds. I sold my Rhodes MK2 73 (just like the one BT has) to buy the NE3 and have no regrets. I particularly enjoy the weight difference!!!! But I really got the NE3 for the hammond sound. The only drawback I found so far are the lightbars instead of the drawbars, they are too fast making it hard to pull 'em out gradually and the feel is obviously quite different.

Re: Drawbar settings suggestion?
I had the same complaint..Ilprincipe2 wrote:The only drawback I found so far are the lightbars instead of the drawbars, they are too fast making it hard to pull 'em out gradually and the feel is obviously quite different.
I had to change the drawbar speed parameter to slow "System page 12" This made them react better.
I still would have preferred drawbars to drawbuttons.
I may still end up getting a Voce V5 to use as a midi drawbar controller for the Nord's organ sounds.

Re: Drawbar settings suggestion?
Hi all!
These are my first steps setting drawbars, so some things are a bit cryptic for me
E.g., for AWSoP: 68 8600 000 88 8808 006 88 0070 770 00 4440 000
Can you help me translate this to a right-hand and left-hand split setup?

68 8600 000 is the right hand "upper manual" intro sound, needs percussion on.
88 8808 006 is the right hand "upper manual" the sound for the chorus.
88 0070 770 is the right hand "upper manual" not quite sure where this occurs in the song "maybe the verse"?
00 4440 000 is the left hand "lower manual" comp sound "basically it's like having the bottom three drawbars out, but up an octave, and at half volume".

I've looked through the manual and tried 'scrolling' through the system options, and I can't see anything relating to drawbar speed 'slow'.Hanon_CTS wrote: I had to change the drawbar speed parameter to slow "System page 12" This made them react better.

I neglected to indicate that this is a feature only found on the Electro 3 "SYSTEM Menu 12. Drawbar speed".
The Stage Classic, Stage Ex, and Stage 2 don't have it.
Cheers, Hanon
