Control pedal only has range from 80%-100%

Post by Midiexpert »

I own the Stage 3 HP76. I am using a Roland EV5 pedal in the control pedal input. I think it used to work fine, but now I cannot get the range of the pedal to go below 80 volume, so with a morph active, the morphed layer starts at 80% volume, even though I set the morph range from 0 to full volume. I don't know when this changed, or why, and in system settings I have no way (or don't know how) to set the default volume of the control pedal, when fully "up" to 0 db instead of 80% of full volume.
Anyone with a solution would be appreciated, thank you.

Have you checked also that the pot on the side of the EV5 is in 0 position?

Hi - as maxpiano says - check the control on the side of the pedal (mine gets knocked regularly).

If not, it's possible that the pot inside the pedal is worn out, I needed to replace mine after 5 years of use.

Thanks. Embarrassed to say I forgot that the pedal itself had a dial on it...so THANK YOU both for the reply, this should solve my problem.
