Hi all,
I've purchased my Nord Stage 3 last week and I've been loving soo far but I've immediately noticed that one of black keys makes a strange noise when pressing it. There's almost clanking noise present when I press it and the key itself feels slightly different.
Now, this isn't really a big of an issue, and the Stage 3 seems to respond properly to the various levels of speed/pressure I do for the key.
But I'm wondering if there's anything I should really do here? Is this a sign that something else might be wrong too?
And this something that's covered under warranty? I'm new to Nord keyboards and I'm really not sure what should I do. I saw some people had some issues that were solved by Clavia (but they seemed like more important issues than mine) so I appreciate any pointers you may have.

Re: Black key issue on a new Stage 3 88
Thanks for the answer!
Is that really considered normal action? I think it might be too quiet because of the video. I understand there has to be some variability, but that key really stands out and it doesn't feel like something that should happen on a new piano... Looking a bit more carefully, it seems like there's some "glue" under that key (attached video). It's actually a bit sticky (I tried just probing it with a tiny piece of metal...). Is that normal?
Again, maybe it all is normal (and I'd be glad to be told it is), but I just feel like in case its not, it might be good to do something about this now, rather than later...

To my eye, that key doesn't spring back the same as the others. Is that right? Perhaps the glue is relevant, and maybe it's an easy fix, but I definitely think you should raise this with Nord customer support.

The "glue" looks more like the grease that is used on all keys. Maybe it's misplaced here of some such?

That might be right! I'll try to record the key more slowly tomorrow during the day.
And I actually think the glue isn't relevant, as baekgaard pointed out:

Yes, I actually went and checked how the other keys look, and its possible to see this grease on many other keys, so this is probably not related to the key being wonky.
I guess I'll just record the response key tomorrow, post it here and then raise this with Nord customer support
