Anyone receive a new Compact recently? I got a new one for Christmas this year of 2020, opened early...does it come with the CDs? Like sample library? There were no discs in the box, Please let me know what disc are included if any - thanks.

Ps. I checked and found out there’s no sustain pedal included with the compact, but one is included with the other stage 3’s.

Right, I got a NS3C early this year, and it was almost nothing included: no soft cover, no DVD, I don't remember if it at least had a manual (don't think so). No pedal, too. Manual and sounds are downloadable.

I just remember a nice power cord of about 2 m. And of course the beautiful instrument.

It's up to you if you want an expression pedal or two (for playing organ and synth), a sustain pedal (for the piano voices) or a triple pedal (most unlikely for a Compact, but was my choice as I'm using it in dual KB mode). There are reasons for the huge price difference between the three models.

Thanks FZiegler, thought so, I never used the discs from my Stage 2, who needs discs. what's dual KB mode (like midi stuff?), I just loved my Stage 2 and this one looks like I'm gonna love the improvements. I still think I'd be nice to have little larger key size, without the hammered feel, so I'm looking to add another, too. (Not Nord though, I cannot afford two!). I couldn't ask the boys at Sweetwater about the discs because I feel they are not helpful. And it's not like I can call Nord in Sweden. Thanks to you and this forum.

what's dual KB mode (like midi stuff?)

There are different ways to connect a second keyboard to the Stage 3 to play its engines (yes, via MIDI). I meant all those approaches, whereas one specifically is called DualKB and allows to either play one single engine from Panel B (mostly as a second organ manual) or the whole Panel B from another keyboard. Affects the function of the NS3 control elements like MW or pedals. There are less complicated ways to do it, too.

My Stage 3 Compact, puchased about 2.5 years ago, did include a set of CDs. My Stage 3 88, purchased later, did not .... I think they changed it to save costs and because all can be downloaded from the website

I got mine from the first batch at Sweetwater and no CDs came. Everything is on the web site, so no issue for me-

All the Sample content CDs are downloadable from the Nord website anyway so your not losing out by Nord not including that,The only thing that would annoy me is if they stopped including a Physical copy of the manual,I want to have a copy so i can skim through it at my own leisure and not have to read some PDF version on a computer,that really does Pee me off....(Hey Korg.....Kronos manuals!!!! )

Totally agree. But even if no physical manual is included, you can always get the pdf printed and binded as a booklet. It won't cost a fortune as it would with the Cronos manual...!!!

When did you get the S3? I got mine a year ago and it came with the manual, the dust cover and the sustain pedal (no triple), but no CDs. The only things I cared for anyway were the pedal and why not the dust cover.

I purchased my Stage 3 HP76 new in 2018 and it came with all of that along with the DVD. I assume Nord figured at one point why bother with the DVD given all that's available online. Mine is still in the plastic with the manual and power cord. Take care.
