I usually don't ask for help here, but I'm currently travelling (greetings from Togo !) and will land home next saturday, just few hours before a concert (fresh and smiling) !

Could someone please share a program that recreates the SAW sound heard in the intro song of Marcia Baila ?


Talking about the A note that goes from one octave to the octave up.

Googled around and it seems this is a 1 OSC SAW with portamento, with a resonance filter and an LFO with modulates the filter. I'll use the Mod Wheel for morphing.
As for the effects, it seems flanger and auto-wah are applied, see the parameters used by a Motif fellow in the doc below.

For the lead intro sound, I'm using the AT to morph the filter freq, and the Wheel at the end to change the LFO speed and filter resonance. Not perfect but good starting point, have not yet tested it in live, let me know how it sounds...

Using only sample from the Nord Library. Bonus: I'm adding my Brass section too.

I agree, it stands out with the upper notes. Easy to try out with the program put together (thanks florence!).
