Re: Rush - Subdivisions
For Subdivisions I use the sample #94, make some adjustments at the amp envelope and filter, then add some chorus. It sounds good for the entire song, but sometimes I perform the solos at my Roland Gaia with a filtered super saw sound.
Edit:
Hope you like it, it's my very first program =)
Sorry I mistyped the file name =P

Re: Rush - Subdivisions
About a year ago I played it. Here is my patch. Please tell me if that suits you. Also keep in mind it was made to be played on a NS2 SW midied to a Mopho (which is played via the EXTERN section). Here is a demo, please excuse any mistakes.
EDIT: thought that a bundle would be better, since it includes the sample used and I also included my Tom Sawyer Program, for which I sampled my mopho on the lower end and some synth strings from my NS2.

Re: Rush - Subdivisions
Thanks to Gustavo, we have an excellent sweep sample that can’t be constructed on the Nord. As you’ve no doubt discovered, preset A:02:04 is Nord’s sad little embarassing half-hearted pathetic feeble lame baby weasel attempt. After I installed Gustavo’s excellent program on my NS2, my sadness turned to joy.
Some tips for playing Tom Sawyer with this program:
Note that the sweep keys (Slot A, A1 to F#3) are off by a third, i.e., the C key plays an E.
To play the first bass sweep, play C3 and C2 in succession to get one sweep chasing the other.
The rest of the keys in Slot A’s sample 119 (G3 to B5) are for the whole-note synth pads.
Use the upper split (Slot B) to play the lead runs. Use the Mod wheel to adjust the brightness, and press down hard on the last note for the aftertouch vibrato (use the pitch stick to exagerrate it right before the guitar solo.)
You may want to make Slot B active (blinking) so you can see the Mod wheel’s effect on the frequency filter.
Muchas Gracias, Gustavo!

Was the third interval done on purpose or it happened to be a plain mistake?
(Can not see the logic behind it) But the patch is good.
