Baba O' Riley
Hello,
below my very first attempt to build a patch for playing Baba O'Riley on NS2.
Here's how it works
- when you load the patch you find yourself on Slot B, which is dedicated to the main Arpeggio. Play a F3-C4-F4 then Latch the Arpeggiator (with the Hold Button or using a Latch pedal)
- now activate Slot A and on the upper section you have the organ ready for playng the additional notes of the intro (play C6->D6->E6->F6, then on with the other phrases) and on lower manual you have a Bosie piano ready for the piano power chords
It is just my first try and I focused on the Arpeggiator and tremolo, so the organ sound can be improved to better match the original, if you like and do it please post your results
Note: you can control the legato/staccato style of notes played by synth-organ section(s) by changing their AMP ENV release time
PS: the MP3 demo is intended only to show the sound, I improvised it based on my memory of teh song but probably it isn't 100% right.
Enjoy and comments welcome!

Re: Baba O' Riley
Hi MaxPiano
I'm liking your work on Baba O' Riley. For the life of me I can seem to get the latch function to work. I have pressed shift and th right otive shift button. The latch light comes on but when I press my pedal (which is plugged into Latch/Rotor) nothing happens when I release the keys. I am missing something
Many thanks for your Help

Hi Phillypotts, I suggest you check the assignment of the Rotor/Latch pedal in the system menu. Remember also that you need to keep del Latch pedal pressed all the time, as long as you want the arpeggio to continue.
Hope this helps, let us know!

Re: Baba O' Riley
Awesome!
Fancy trying your hand at "Won't get fooled again"? I did a version once on the Electro 3, using the tremolo, phaser and vox/continental - I can't remember which. I bet you could do a great version using the stage.

Re: Baba O' Riley
how do I download it from you? That'd be awesome to get that sound. My band would freak. I quit trying to learn how to do it once I learned that even The Who used a recording live on stage. Ya know? I'm new to this Nord world and am trying to get the most out of my board, but this would be awesome! Please help. Thanks.

Re: Baba O' Riley
my bad. Just figured it out. I have an electro 4d and that's for a stage2 I'm guessing. Sorry. Anybody know how to get a sample of that sound for the Electro 4D? .... this sucks.
