Thanks Darren! The relinking is great, but when you (I) haven't done it much, it requires some practice. Great job on the patches! Also, thanks Frantz!

Hello!

I am new to the world of Nord. I just got my Nord 6 Electro, and to this forum. My wife and I just saw an 80s tribute band last night, and, of course, they played this song and a quick google search brought me here. Of course, while I'm able to download the sample that Frantz create (awesome job, btw), I cannot load the Nord Stage 2 to programs Darren into my Nord Electro 6. So, I was wondering if you (Darren), or anyone, had any advice in one of both of the following:

1.) Any guidance for how you (Darren) created the 3 programs so that I can try to replicate it on the Electro?
2.) Is anyone aware of any tutorials on converting (manually) prgrams between keyboards? My research turns up nothing on doing it automatically. So, I'm wondering if there is a way to open a NS2 program, check out it's config, and manually duplicate it to my Electro. I don't have both instruments...so hopefully I don't have to go buy a Stage 2 or 3 to do that... :)

Thanks for your help!

Hi everyone, I realise I am a little bit late to the party on this thread, But is there any chance that anyone has a similar program I can run on my Nord Stage Compact EX (nspg format) for this song? I can't seem to get the right hand (synth) sound right. Any pointers on how to get to a similar sound are welcome too!

Regarding Darren's excellent programs, I was having similar issues as Swannieboy today and found a solution.

Apparently “sample 126” is missing from the first of the three programs (Take_On_Me_1.ns2p). But I think it's the same as sample 52 (DXPiano_ste_PH) in the Nord Stage 2’s factory settings. So just set the synth in Slot A to sample 52 and the program works fine.

I also noticed that after installation, these three programs weren’t displayed in Nord Sound Manager v6.18. That is, not until I removed the first underline in each program’s name (using the NS2’s Store As… button.) That made all the underlines in the name disappear, and after saving the program’s new name, the program displays correctly in the Sound Manager’s program list. Weird, huh?

By the way, my Nord Stage 2 is using OS v1.64, in case that has something to do with it.
