if I upset you, I'm sorry. To make that clear: I'm more than fine with the sounds Nord offers. You can make a lot out of them. And I don't know how: My Stage makes me play better.

I had just wanted to make that point: Theoretically, it could be possible to fill the piano memory with one sample if someone wanted. Practically, it was for nothing.

Upset? No no, not at all, it's a fair technical discussion apologies if my reply sounded too harsh instead but I wanted to explain why I said that I think that having longer/deeper/larger Nord Piano Library sample sets would require also a "change" (big or small I cannot tell) in their piano engine and this may also explain why it takes more than just "Nord please buy a bigger sample set" to get them

Just an aside: much of the Nord Sample library content is licensed from third party sound creators, but Nord's Piano Library is ALL done in-house with great care and attention given to the process by Hans himself. They are not buying piano samples from anyone.

Thanks, very good point (I wasn't aware this was the case, I remember for the White Grand someone mentioned it was made by an external provider iirw)

That was part of the initial speculation when the White Grand was first spotted, but it was purely based on the unusual but coincidental use of the color white in the name.

It was later clarified not to be the same sample, and even the make of the pianos differ.

So yeah, Nord seems to pick their own pianos to sample - and does so really well
