Folks, I'm the worship pastor at a new church and I've adopted a Nord Piano 4. It's a very nice instrument. We're using it mostly for its strings and would like to be able to control volume a little easier. I've been reading up on control pedals and I see often the pedals being used to increase volume, however I actually more often need to do the opposite: I need the strings to decrescendo. Can I do this with a control pedal? If so, what pedal would you recommend?

Re: Volume Pedal
I recommend the Yamaha FC7, which is kind of an industry standard. Built like a tank, heavy enough to stay put, and your NP4 should have a software profile for it already built in to the OS.
Your strings will get softer as the pedal comes up.
